Who doesn’t like movies?

One of America’s favorite pastimes, seemingly forever, has been going to the movies. With the state of the world right now, we may not always be able to go to our favorite cinema or multiplex, but, in the age of streaming services galore, they’re now coming to us.

And who doesn’t like talking about their favorite movies? One of the best parts about seeing a movie with your friends is being able to talk about it afterwards. The themes, the action, the suspense, and the characters you fell in love with along the way, are the things that make up so many of our favorite flicks.

A decade ago, people hardly knew what podcasts even were, but today they’re everywhere! Here’s a list of our 10 favorite movie podcasts in 2021.

1. The Rewatchables

The Rewatchables started at the tail-end of 2015 when Bill Simmons and Chris Ryan took a deep dive into Michael Mann’s Heat, and after over 150 episodes, Bill, Chris, and company continue to remember, celebrate, and meticulously dissect the movies that we all can’t stop watching.

Coming from the media website The Ringer, and with a constantly revolving door of guests, the cast of The Rewatchables talk about all of your favorite movies in depth. From Jaws to Toy Story to The Godfather and Mean Girls, just about every time period, genre, and topic is discussed. Fan-favorite episode where the gang discusses Terminator 2: Judgement Day is definitely worth checking out.

The podcast can be found on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, and through their RSS feed, as well as directly on The Ringer website.

2. How Did This Get Made?

With over 250 episodes, How Did This Get Made? is one of the bigger shows on this list. From the Earwolf Network and hosted by Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael, and Jason Mantzoukas (as well as a rotating roster of guests), How Did This Get Made? covers all the movies that we watch and think, “who the hell paid to make this?” Some of the movies are good, some of them are bad, but all of them make us ask the question: who made this?
