Winner: Moschino Toy Boy

Typical fragrances are built on a pyramid of ingredients. Today, Italian fashion house Moschino is anything but typical, so is it any surprise that its new move-over, look-at-me fragrance for 2019 is built on the olfactory scaffolding of a… teddy bear?

Scent stalwarts bergamot and Haitian vetiver are masterfully blended with Indonesian nutmeg, clove, pear tree, rose, magnolia and Ambermax to form a fragrance so winning it practically marched up and grabbed the title for itself.

Ian Taylor: “The bear’s not your usual aftershave bottle, but it actually looks pretty cool out of the bathroom and on the bookshelf instead. Wear it, and it’ll be the first thing people compliment.”

A year rarely goes by without Molton Brown bagging an award, and for good reason. The brand has been in the business of making fragrance heavy-hitters for nearly 50 years, and this year it achieved the seemingly impossible by creating a highly wearable scent that works day to night, all-year-round, rightfully earning it a place in this year’s awards.
