Fresh from beating Klitschko, Anthony Joshua lost the boxer shorts in favour of something a touch more refined at the 2017 Glamour awards. The classic double-breasted blazer is a punchy way to flatter broader frames (like he needs it), while a tie-free shirt puts stuffiness on the ropes.

Not as bold as a rainbow flag, perhaps, but Robbie Rogers’ look at the GLSEN LA Pride Celebration was no less memorable. The LA Galaxy winger opted for a Mr Ripley-esque polo shirt with slim trousers – tucked in for a neater edge, but still far removed from three-piece formality.

When pops is an acclaimed designer and creative director at one of Savile Row’s leading tailors, the shoes are Goliath-sized. Lucky, then, that Charlie Casely-Hayford fills them with aplomb. At Topman’s fine tailoring dinner, the 34-year-old went classic in a two-piece, but swerved monotony with a striped shirt and knitted tie. Must run in the family.

Proof that not all country fans are glue-sniffing rednecks, Joe Jonas paid tribute to the Deep South while traipsing LA in a Jon Wolfe tee. Which may sound oh-so-ironic in an oh-so-hipster way. But DNCE’s frontman tempered the novelty with failsafe monochrome that’s more uptown than S-Town.
