So, for smooth and long rides, they are most advantageous. However, these types are also heavier and less manageable. Aside from high maintenance and oil changes, gas bikes emit exhausts of dangerous pollutants.

When it comes to being environmentally friendly, electric models beat their gas counterparts. They produce less emission that also reduces their impact on air pollution. Electric dirt bikes are also safer and easy to operate. On the downside, if you are craving speed and range, they may not satisfy you. And with limited battery life, it can get frustrating and can become untrustworthy on longer trips. Moreover, electric dirt bikes are more expensive than gas ones.

Does weight matter?

Contrary to what other people say about weight, it is something to consider when choosing your first dirt bike. The right bike should be easy to manage, so choose one that you can handle. It goes down to a science. The heavier your bike, the harder its fall if you ever make mistakes.

Lightweight dirt bikes are extremely helpful if you are practicing around tight corners. Heavier bikes will not go easy on these spots. You need something easier to maneuver that’s not awkward to feel. Once you get the physics, you will have no problem adjusting on bigger bikes. So for beginners, the lighter option is always better.

The size of the bike

Beginner bike sizes vary according to type. Standard sizes may fit all users, but they can still be a bit intimidating for newbies. Dirt bikes are easier for beginners than regular motorbikes because they also come in smaller sizes. Some models are suitable even for children and adults.
