5. ‘Hope and Eyes’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The inner left side of his forearm contains a tattoo of a shield made of rose flowers. The shield contains a banner wrapped around it with the word, “HOPE” tattooed inside it. The area just above his left wrist on the inner side contains a tattoo of an eye.

Meaning: Hope is something that keeps a person going and is one of the things Andy always believes in. Having hope even in the worst situation.

6. ‘Knuckle’ Tattoo

Tattoo: Andy’s right hand’s knuckles contain the letters, “F U C K” tattooed on each finger starting from the pinkie and moving towards his index.

Meaning: This tattoo is completed by his other knuckle tattoo which reads CITY. The words together make the name, Fuck City which is the name of the record label that Andy owns.

7. ‘Bee and Snake’ Tattoos

Tattoo: The drummer’s left hand contains a tattoo of an intricate bee done in multiple colors. His left forearm contains a tattoo of a snake wrapped around it. There are blue ocean waves done in the snake’s background which complete his sleeve.

Meaning: The bee gives its own life for the protection of its home and also work in groups. The bee tattoo Hurley has symbolizes courage, sacrifice, hard work, and cooperation.

8. ‘XVX’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The inner side of both of Andy’s wrist contain tattoos of the letters, XVX tattooed on them.

Meaning: The letters XVX stand for Straightedge Vegetarian or Straightedge Vegan. Andy Hurley is a vegetarian so he got these tattoos.

Tattoo: The side of his left hand’s middle, ring and pinkie fingers contains the tattoo of the letter X.

Tattoo: The knuckles of his left hand contain the letters, “C, I, T, Y” tattooed on each finger moving from his index towards his pinkie. His left hand contains a tattoo of the skull of a gorilla along with a tattoo of a cross.
