Percival Menswear: AW14 Collection

British Menswear Brand Matures For New Season

Premium menswear brand Percival believes its AW14 campaign shows off its “most refined and mature collection to date”. Clothing from the latest range focuses heavily on shirts with classic and Oxford styles in plain, check and patterned designs. Several outer shirts in thicker fabrics are also carried, designed to offer a further layer underneath jackets. Meanwhile, tailoring aims to reinforce the new approach with slim-cut trousers and Italian wool suit jackets. The separates are being sold in blue/green tartan, dark grey mini houndstooth and brushed blue chambray. Outerwear is covered by both light and heavyweight jackets and coats. Short zipped jackets in denim, tartan and fleece appear alongside longer over and pea coats. Details include sheepskin collars, ribbed cuffs and hem and real horn engraved buttons. Designers claim to have taken inspiration from Japanese mythological imagery, evident through the use of woodblock print colours – mustard ochre, orange and navy – Japanese denim and kimono patterns. Chris Grove, the brand’s co-owner come designer, said: “For us this range feels like a natural development of [Percival co-owner] Luke and I as designers, our desire for things that are slightly more refined, yet still have that eccentric edge.” Percival‘s AW14 collection is available to buy now from the brand’s standalone store on Berwick Street, London, and online priced between £95 – £325.
