Star Studded Cast of 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Revealed

Star Wars fans are in for a treat with Obi-Wan Kenobi. The new series from Disney+ has just released the full cast and it’s a cracker. Ewan McGregor is reprising his role as the titular Jedi Master and Hayden Christensen is back as Darth Vader.

The rest of the cast is an incredible collection of actors and actresses. Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit), Joel Edgerton (The Gift, Warrior), Bonnie Piesse (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones), Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, Stuber), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Rupert Friend (Hitman: Agent 47), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Den of Thieves), Sung Kang (Fast and Furious franchise), Simone Kessell (1%), and Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems) are all involved.

As you can see, it’s a stacked cast with some very big names. The show itself is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and begins shooting next month. While there’s no information on what characters these actors will be portraying, it’s a safe bet to assume Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will return as Owen and Beru Lars, the custodians of Luke Skywalker, as that’s the roles they played in the prequel series.

The new show will also be directed by Deborah Chow, who helmed the camera for two episodes of The Mandalorian’s first season.

Obi-Wan Kenobi should hit Disney+ in 2022.
