The World's Most Expensive Fries Will Set You Back $200

Last week it was the world’s most expensive burger, this week we have the world’s most expensive french fries. Officially certified by the Guinness Book of Records, Serendipity3’s new Creme de la Creme Pommes Frites will set you back a hefty $200.

The brainchild of the famous New York eateries acclaimed Creative Director Chef Joe Calderone and Corporate Executive Chef Frederick Schoen-Kiewert, these fries will make your mouth water. The delectable fries are made using Chipperbeck potatoes blanched in Dom Perignon Champagne and J. LeBlanc French Champagne Ardenne Vinegar.

They are cooked three times in goose fat and then seasoned with hand-harvested Guerande Truffle Salt from Guerande, France. Next up the fries are tossed in Urbani Summer Truffle Oil and topped with shaved Crete Senesi Pecorino Tartufello, black truffles from Volterra and Miniato, Italy, and shaved Black Summer Truffles from Umbria, Italy. To top it off they are dusted with edible 23k gold.

Along with the fries, you get a Mornay sauce made with udder cream, black truffle butter, and Gruyere Swiss cheese, all served on a Baccarat crystal Arabesque plate and bowl.

“It’s easy to take expensive ingredients and just throw them together and call it an expensive dish. But we really like working on the science of the dish, as well as making it not only the most expensive but the best tasting in the world,” Calderone told USA Today.

This isn’t the first world record captured by Serendipity3, with the restaurant having held 10 Guinness World Records over the years. Along with the world’s most expensive fries, it still holds the records for the most expensive dessert ($25,000), most expensive sandwich ($214), and most expensive milkshake ($100).

If you happen to be in New York, be sure to drop in and try these world record breaking fires.
