Things Get Hectic in New 'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' Trailer

If the first Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer didn’t get you excited, this one should. Sony’s new trailer for the Tom Hardy led feature packs a real punch as we see not only Venom but Woody Harrelson’s Carnage.

Set one year after the events of the first film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage finds Hardy’s journalist Eddie Brock trying to live a normal life with the alien symbiote, Venom, inside him. While Venom wants to spend his time as a lethal vigilante killing and eating everything in his path, Brock attempts to reignite his journalistic career by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady, who evolves into Carnage and goes on a warpath of destruction. Check out the bonkers trailer below.

This flick looks to follow a similar path to the first, with outrageous violence, crude humor, and Hardy giving another head-scratching performance. The CGI looks pretty neat and having Harrleson onboard as the main bad guy is a stroke of genius. The trailer also gives us the first look at Naomie Harris as Frances Barrison, aka Shriek, who strikes up a romance with Kasady.

The Andy Serkis-directed film also stars a returning Michelle Williams as Brock’s ex-fiance Anne Weying, Reid Scott as Weying’s boyfriend, and Stephen Graham as Detective Mulligan.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will officially hit the big screen on September 24, 2021.
