Vacation Makeup: The 6 Products You Need to Pack

As the end of the semester looms, many of us college students are beyond ready for the summer months. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of breaking out your summer wardrobe after a seemingly endless winter.

Whatever this summer holds for you, be it working or taking some time for R&R, I bet you’ve probably got some cool trips planned, right?

Whether you’re spending the weekend by the beach or heading south for awhile, there are a couple beauty essentials you’re going to need to battle the sweltering heat.

After you’re finished packing all the obvious items for your trip (see our favorite makeup essentials and our list of the best waterproof makeup to get started), here are a few beauty items you might not think to bring (but will definitely be needing!):

Table of Contents

Travel-Sized Setting Spray

No matter what skin type you have, setting sprays are a must in hot weather. Having this makeup essential in a convenient travel-size makes traveling easier (just toss it in your carry-on) and allows you to be able to throw it in your purse or beach bag for long days in the sun.

Fellow sufferers of dry skin will appreciate the cool, refreshing, and hydrating mist of the Mario Badescu facial sprays, while oilier gals might want to stick to sprays that mattify and/or prolong makeup, like the iconic Urban Decay All Nighter.

Reapply your setting spray every 2-3 hours to keep you feeling calm, cool, and collected.

Soothing Aloe Face Mask

In the summer months, it’s nearly impossible to hide from the sun. This means it’s highly likely that you’ll get burned at least once over the course of the season. (Forget to reapply your sunblock even once, at your own peril!)
