The House From 'Training Day' Is on the Market for Just $1.1 Million

King Kong ain’t got shit on the home from Antoine Fuqua’s classic cop thriller Training Day. The property at 1031 Everett Street, Echo Park, is on the market for a very reasonable $1.1 million.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac near Dodger Stadium, the three-bedroom home has beamed ceilings, oak floors, and casement windows. There’s a large living space with a fireplace, generous kitchen, and large yard. There’s even a self-contained guest house. While it’s all pretty standard, the appeal of this house is its link to Training Day.

In the film, it’s home to ex-cop turned drug dealer Roger (Scott Glenn) and is featured in several scenes. The most pivotal is when Alonzo (Denzil Washington) and his gang of corrupt cops try and force newbie Jake (Ethan Hawke) to execute Roger. When he refuses, Alonzo does it himself and tries to set up Jake for the killing.

Another major scene features the crew in the kitchen digging up the floor to steal Roger’s retirement fund. They use a chainsaw to cut into the floor before making Jake dig up the dirt with a spade while they watch on. They find a trunk with $4 million inside, three of which they plan to steal, with Alonzo hoping to use the money to pay off the Russian mafia who want him dead.

Unfortunately for the new owner, there is no more money hidden under the floor, but they will be able to say they live in a house made famous on the big screen.
