Beach Day with Your Best Friends

I mean, would it be summer without at least one beach day? If you ask me, the answer is a solid no. So make sure you fit at least one of these in! Grab a couple of friends and make a full day of it — bring chairs, umbrellas, towels, a cooler full of snacks, your favorite beach reads and magazines, even a waterproof bluetooth speaker.

Not near the ocean? Pools and lakes totally count for this! Just make sure you get at least one beach day in; it will help you really get into the summer feel.

You don’t have to get elaborate with a beach day outfit – just rock a cute bikini, some flip flops, and something stylish on top. Easy and simple! Here, I brought in the gingham trend with this pretty bikini. Over top, I added a “run this beach” cropped tee (so cute), and some classic cutoffs. Finish with simple flip flops and an ultra-cute pineapple beach towel.

Attend a Summer Concert

There are so many opportunities to watch live music outdoors in the summer – take advantage! Nearly every city has outdoor concerts or festivals going on, so look into the events happening near you and vow to go to at least one. Bonus points if it’s a band or artist you’ve been meaning to see forever — the memory will last a lifetime.

There are tons of possibilities when it comes to outfits for a summer concert, but here’s one of my favorite go-to looks. Pair a band tee with some high-waisted shorts and tuck the tee in halfway. (Alternatively, you could go for a cute bandeau top like this one if you wanted a trendier look.) Then add an oversized denim jacket over top. Complete the look with a cute holographic fanny pack and some classic, comfy sneakers.
