Robert Redford Puts 30-Acre 'Horse Whisperer' Ranch on the Market
Academy Award-winning director and actor Robert Redford has put his 30-acre Utah ranch on the market. The Horse Whisper Ranch, named after the 1996 film The Horse Whisperer that Redford directed and starred in, covers a massive area of picturesque landscapes just outside of Sundance.
84-year-old Redford is moving with his horses to his larger 1,800-acre Sundance estate, with the Horse Whisper Ranch being put on the market with an asking price of $4.9 million. The property sits on the banks of the Provo River and contains a 100-year-old farmhouse with two bedrooms, two hobby studios straight out of the old West, covered horse corrals, hay barns, and a large boat garage.

“For the last 25 years, my family and I have loved and embraced this ranch as a base for our horse program, running clinics and serving as a home for our many beloved horses,” Redford said in an email to The Wall Street Journal. “Looking ahead, we want to focus on expanding the facilities at our ranch located at Sundance in nearby Provo Canyon.”
