5. Naina Peak:

The Naina Peak is the highest peak of Nainital. It is about 6 kilometers away from this beautiful city and can only be reached by a trek or horse ride. This place and is so romantic and wonderful that you would surely want to come here again. The panoramic views, scenic beauty and snow capped Himalayas provide you with an excellent and fantastic view from afar.

6. Dorothy’s Seat:

The Dorothy’s Seat of Nainital is dedicated to Dorothy Kelly. It was built in her memory by her husband after he she died in a plane crash. Since this was Dorothy’s favorite location, this particular spot was chosen. Stonework was also built which helped her husband give her the tribute and honor she deserved. It is also known as Tiffin Top as this is an ideal place for picnics, commonly used during the time of the British Raj.

7. Naina Devi Temple:

The Naina Devi Temple is an essential and important place of worship for the Hindus. It has attracted thousands of tourists every year and still continues to do so. It is dedicated to Maa Naina Devi, although it also has idols of Kali Devi and Lord Ganesha. The temple is surrounded by tall green trees which gives this location a very scenic and panoramic view.

8. St. John’s Church:

The St.John’s Church of Nainital was constructed in the year 1847. It is a major tourist attraction and has thousands of visitors every year. A brass memorial is also kept in memorial of those who had unfortunately lost their lives in the landslide.

9. Ranikhet:

Ranikhet is a simple and beautiful town where you will find temples, orchards and many joy grounds. It is also known as Queen’s meadow in English and has great historical significance.
