NAHB The New American Remodel 2019 Tour – Las Vegas, Nevada

From salvaged railroad ties for fencing to a hidden bookshelf door as the master bedroom entry, the 2019 NAHB the New American Remodel Home was remarkable to tour.

While the house itself is stunning, the story behind it is a bit more interesting.

To start, the lot came with a 60 ft. Wide by 100 ft. Long and 10 ft. Deep pit; all of which was had been used as a neighborhood dumping ground over the years.

The previous owner’s original intentions were to build an in-ground target range, but that idea was eventually scrapped and never picked up again. And so, the trash pile came to life.

Beyond the tons of trash removed from the build site, I heard the remodel home itself was barely salvageable. They weren’t able to save much at all from the original house, yet, Luxus Design Build LLC still managed to put together a stunning home in the end.

When it came to touring the finished 2019 NAHB the New American Remodel Home there was everything from a massive dual-purpose RV garage, walk-in shower with double glass door entrances, a well being used as the home’s primary water source, and a huge pool right in the center of the home, and much more.

I found the layout to be exceptionally well planned out, but the location and proximity of neighbors didn’t seem right. In the middle of neighborhood after neighborhood of traditionally designed homes, this one stood out like a sore thumb with its ultra-modern design Sure, the salvaged railroad ties in the front yard, gravel driveway, etc. toned down the modern look, but it still felt out of place.

While riding the transport bus I overhead the same remarks from the rest of those on the tour.

Regardless of the above, I found the 2019 NAHB the New American Remodel Home had an incredible interior design. From the modern baseboard to the floating vanities, wood door selection, cladding details, kitchen cabinets, and so on, it was all executed brilliantly.
