Jojo Levesque’s 17 Tattoos & Their Meanings
Joanna Noelle “JoJo” Levesque is an American Actress, Singer, and Songwriter. Her debut single, “Leave (Get Out)” topped the US Billboards Pop Songs chart which she released when she was just 13 years old. Since then Jojo has released many hit albums such as, “The High Road” and “Too Little Too Late” among others. She has appeared in The Bernie Mac Show, American Dreams and Romeo. Jojo loves getting inked and has many inks on her body. Let us see what they are and the meanings they hold.
1. ‘Quote’ Tattoo
Tattoo: There is a quote which reads, “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference.” inked around Jojo’s right wrist.
Meaning: The poem is actually a Serenity Prayer which Jojo really likes. It is inked in Black and Green.
2. ‘Arrows’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Just below her Serenity Prayer tattoo is another tattoo design of arrows done around her wrist like a bracelet.
3. ‘Bracelet’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Her right wrist already looked like it was adorned in jewellery but Jojo added another tattoo below her arrows one of a Turquoise Bracelet.
Meaning: Turquoise is Jojo’s favourite colour and she also described the tattoo as, “Sagittarius. Sedona. Bracelets. Vibes.”
4. ‘Map’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The underside of Jojo’s left wrist contains the tattoo of the outline of the map of the World excluding Antarctica.
5. ‘Ever to Excel’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The right side of her stomach contains the words, “ever to excel” tattooed in red ink.
Meaning: The words are from her favourite poem, Iliad by Homer.
6. ‘Neck’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The back of Jojo’s neck contains her surname, Levesque and the phrase, Live Free OR Die inked on it.
Meaning: She got her name tattooed so that it may live on forever with her.
She said, “My father is the only boy out of his siblings, and I’m the only child of his. So after him when I get married the Levesque name will be no longer in our family. So I wanted to kind of immortalize it on myself.” Live Free or Die is the motto of New Hampshire, where Jojo spent a major part of her childhood in Keene.
