1) Single-flowered Dahlia

The blooms within this variety comprise a single assemblage of leaves on all sides of the Central disc.

2) Star Dahlia

In this group, the flowers are small, comprising of 2 or 3 strings of relatively tapered petals which are marginally curved inwards that spring up a cup on all the sides of the central disc.

3) Anemone-flowered Dahlia

The blooms within this group have a thick circular central disc of tube-shaped flowerets encircled by an outer ring of leaves.

4) Collarette Dahlia

The flowers within this group relatively have a similar appearance to the single-flowered dahlia, although there is a subsidiary ring of small petals(the collar) that are around fifty per cent of the length of the outer petal.

5) Paeony flowered Dahli

In this group, the bloom comprises a few strings of semi-twofold leaves encircling a central disc.
