Given the year off due to the ongoing pandemic, adidas decided it couldn’t waste such an incredible opportunity to reinvigorate the Pro Model 2G with a bit of Mickey D’s magic. 

Adding their own kind of special sauce to the Three Stripes, alongside a patented dressing of materials, the 2021 adidas Pro Model 2G “McDonald’s All-American Game” takes a more classic approach to its bold aesthetic. Decked out in bright McDonald’s yellow with the traditional red color palette for the stripes and trimming, you’d be forgiven in thinking you’ve been transported back to the days of styrofoam packaging.

Images of these scrumptious sneakers were quietly posted to Instagram by sneaker photographer @oklai9 with shoutouts to both the official McDonald’s All American Games account and the official Adidas Basketball account. Celebrating the beloved Golden Arches in the only way they know-how, adidas has created a pair of kicks that look good enough to eat. “Making a subtle appearance on the sides of the shoe, the big M sits aside the quiet addition of McDonald’s slogan “I’m lovin’ it” towards the sneakers’ front.

While a release has not been confirmed, the delicious sneakers may see the light of day via adidas.com shortly. So get ready for an entirely new kind of Happy Meal Toy brought to you by adidas and the McDonald’s All-American Game.
