Guy’s College Street Style in NYC
After class at his high school, Kamron hit the NYU campus to put in some work as an LGBT activist. Kamron is a full-time hippie at heart. He is all about comfort and like most bohemian types, hand-crafted, lightweight, and breathable fabrics are his fashion staples.

Let’s Talk Fashion
Who or what inspires your style? “What inspires my style is the human race and how we progress. We build in the name of progression but we’re also destroying ourselves in the process. I love the ugly truth of reality. That’s what inspires me.”
Where do you like to shop? “Thrift stores. I buy every [single article of] clothing I have [from thrift stores.]”
How would you describe your sense of style? “External happiness.”
Why did you choose this particular outfit? “I just wanted to be comfortable. I just like being comfortable with myself. It’s not about the statement… you can really tell when somebody’s really comfortable with what they have on. And you can tell when it expresses who they are. When I see something I just know, ‘that’s mine, that’s for me.’”
What fashion advice would you give to other students looking to improve their style? “Don’t focus on the outcome of your outfit. Just focus on the process of choosing what makes you love and what you love and letting that create itself into, like, a whole style.”
What are your favorite fashion trends right now? “I love sandals and tank tops.”
Do you have any favorite fashion designers? If so, who? “Maison Martin Marigela. [I love the] diamond masks [that the Margiela] models wear.”
Do you have any unique hobbies or interests? “I love to walk. I love to just, like – I’ve always loved to walk barefoot. Not only on the gravel, but specifically like grass and dirt. And I found a book a year back, it’s called Earthing, [which is about] when you’re gathering energy from the earth through your feet. So I just love walking barefoot or setting my feet under the trunk of a tree. I love reading or drawing. But mainly my hobby is to expose the naked truth of the naked realness of human nature.”
