Mom jeans is a slang term given to the type of comfortable jeans that are typically high-waisted and relaxed down through the leg. They’re mostly no-stretch with a straight-leg cut. These were trendy back in the 1980s up to the early 2000s, and were usually worn by middle-aged women – hence the term “mom jeans”.

If you don’t own a pair of mom jeans yet, what are you waiting for? They are comfortable, breathable, not too constricting, and very chic. They’re great to pair with oversized sweaters, or tops that need to be tucked in.
