Despite the global pandemic putting travel on the back burner, Asia’s 50 Best Bars has released its list of the must visit bars of 2021. Those chosen for this prestigious list showcase “the best and most innovative talent in the drinks industry in this region.” 

Bars from a variety of Asian cities, including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, and Taipei, feature on this impressive list, with the winners announced via an online ceremony last week. 

The sixth edition of the awards was voted on by Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy members, comprising of some of the most knowledgeable and well-traveled members of the bar industry, along with the drink media and mixology experts.

Taking out the top spot was Coa in Hong Kong, China. Named after the machete-like tool used for harvesting agave, this hip spirits bar houses the city’s largest agave collection, with over 200 bottles on offer. It’s the go-to place for those who enjoy a Mexican spirit in friendly surroundings.
