Turnbull & Asser Expansion Plans

Turnbull & Asser Plans Worldwide Locations

International expansion could be on the cards for British brand Turnbull & Asser. The London shirt maker is eyeing up opportunities abroad following the launch of its space at iconic New York department store Bergdorf Goodman. The brand already owns two United States locations, one in New York City and one in Beverly Hills, California, in addition to its Fifth Avenue concession. However, it has been reported that more could soon arrive. The luxury goods store in Midtown Manhattan, dubbed the American equivalent of Harrods, currently only carries the label’s shirts. Ties and pocket squares are due to follow in 2014, with reports speculating this could lead the way for further moves in the market. Turnbull & Asser maintains a strong presence at home. Founded in 1885 on London’s Jermyn Street, the shirt maker has held a royal warrant since 1981. The brand continues to show growth within the industry, adding the sale of custom shirts to their online store in 2010. It was recently confirmed that the brand is to show at this year’s London Collections: MEN. Operating as part of the Jermyn Street, St James’s Showcase, Turnbull & Asser will be on display alongside other participating labels, which includes Barbour, Favourbrook, John Lobb Bootmaker and Lock & Co Hatters. Turnbull & Asser is available to buy online direct or through stockists, MR PORTER.
