Troubadour Launches Pop-Up Store

Leather Brand Makes Retail Debut

Leather goods brand Troubadour has made its first ever move into retail, signing a two month lease for a pop-up unit on Dover Street, London.

The temporary store, which will run until the end of December, also marks the first time the brand’s full collection of luxury leather bags and accessories for men has been made available in one place.

The interior of the 645sq ft space features displays inspired by drying racks found in tanneries and offers shoppers the chance to touch, smell and feel the tannins and fats used in making the leather.

Troubadour founders, Samuel Bail and Abel Samet said: “A huge part of our name and brand is about storytelling; sharing the stories of the incredible artisans and techniques that create our products… Our first physical space is the perfect channel for customers to experience and gain insights into these stories and embark on their own Troubadour adventure.”

Despite the move, when asked a spokesperson added there are currently no further plans for retail space, pop-up or permanent.

In September Troubadour teamed up with London-based tailor Thom Sweeney to produce a two-piece luggage range.

The Troubadour pop-up is open now. Prices for the brand’s AW14 collection start from £125 for leather accessories, £295 for smaller goods such as wash bags and £975 for bags.
