Schott Perfecto Brand Jackets – AW14 Collection
First Look At High-End Outwear Label’s New Collection
Perfecto Brand, the premium offshoot of outerwear label Schott that rose to prominence at Kanye West’s wedding to Kim Kardashian earlier in the year, is due to launch a new range next month. The American firm’s heritage-inspired line draws on classic archive styles, using traditional techniques and materials such as Woolrich wool and hand-waxed cowhide leather. The AW14 collection comprises of military styles including an A-1 flight, G-1 bomber and M-51 field jacket alongside a Sgt. Mack utility jacket, asymmetric zip front moto jacket and Thompson peacoat. Contrast fabric collars, knit bottoms and cuffs, Navajo linings, leather trimmed zipper pockets and natural hair-on-hide calf skin panel details finish off the range. The brand, which takes its name from its founder’s favourite cut of cigar, was founded in 1928 but relaunched in 2011. Speaking about the collection, Irving Schott’s great-grandson and current company CEO, Jason Schott, said: “When [Irving Schott], started making Jackets in 1913 with his brother Jack, their goal was simple; Make the best outerwear utilising only the best materials available.” Rapper West wore a customised ‘just married’ Perfecto Brand biker jacket at his reception after marrying his TV personality wife back in May. The AW14 range will be available to buy online directly from Schott and stockists Style Creep from September. Prices have been confirmed to start at £350.
