Pretty Green Limited Edition Eyewear
Pretty Green Limited Edition Eyewear
Liam Gallagher’s clothing line has released first look images of the brand’s new collection of sunglasses. The Pretty Green limited edition eyewear range, due out in July, is based on retro designs from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. According to the Mod-inspired label, Gallagher used his own extensive collection of styles as inspiration for the offering. Frames available – including the Jennison, Glenmore and Lennon models – mirror classic silhouettes, updated with subtle touches such as the use of faded grey/black acetate. Kendrew, the lowest priced frame in the collection at £85, is a classic wayfarer in both black and tortoise shell. The remaining pieces, priced at £90, span plastic and metal constructions. The Beady Eye front man’s musical and style hero John Lennon was the inspiration for the frame of the same name. The circular lenses are similar to those worn by the late star in the 1970s and expected to be featured on a River Island charity T-shirt later this month. Gallagher’s team has confirmed the range is limited run. However, exactly how many of each model will be sold is yet to be announced. It is thought the brand will reveal a specific number closer to the launch date. Six months after making a U-turn on the label’s view of tailoring, Pretty Green is to participate in London Collection: Men, which kicks off on June 15th. No word has been given on whether the eyewear will make an appearance. The eyewear collection will be available the month following the three-day fashion event, at Pretty Green stores and online at prettygreen.com.
