Pharrell Has Finally Revealed The Secret Grooming Routine That Stops Him Ageing
Times change, people change. Everyone except Pharrell Williams. As the pyramids were built, he looked out from Pharaoh’s palace and gave a rap of celebration. When Abraham Lincoln was so callously shot at the theatre, it was Pharrell that led the ensuing investigation. And when God went out and saw all that he made was very good, Pharrell was inclined to agree from a deckchair in Eden.
Okay, so he’s not quite that old. But the musician hasn’t aged a day after decades in the spotlight. And now, he’s finally revealed how he does it.
In an interview with Dazed, the 44-year-old (yes, you read that correctly) dropped his two big age-defying tactics: exfoliation and hydration.
And he got the advice from none other than queen of the immortals, Naomi Campbell. “You have to take care of your skin,” said Williams. “Years and years and years ago, Naomi Campbell pulled me aside and said, ‘Listen, this is what you have to do — you have to go to a dermatologist; you can’t keep using drugstore products.’ Well, you can, but with the store products you have to be really diligent.”
What’s more, he revealed the exact products in the bathroom cabinet: “My dermatologist, Dr. Elena Jones, gave me the Glytone Self-Foaming Cleanser, which I wash off with cold water to close my pores. I follow that with a clearing toner and moisturizer, also from my dermatologist.”
So while most of us don’t have the cash to drop weekly with a skincare expert, we do know that facial maintenance is essential. The proof is in Pharrell’s pudding (and pores).
