Tarantino, best known for films like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and the Kill Bill series, outdid himself with 2019’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which featured an enormous ensemble cast of actors, young and old, and resulted in countless award nominations, including winning two Oscars. The fictional series within the film, Bounty Law, starring DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton, is even being adapted for television.

As it turns out, Tarantino wasn’t finished with the story yet either as Sony Pictures Entertainment recently released a trailer for the upcoming novelization of the already Hollywood classic, which includes never-before-seen footage from the film. Take a look at the old-style trailer (narrated by George Clooney) below.

According to Tarantino during his recent podcast interview with Pure Cinema, the novel actually dives deeper into Pitt’s fan-favorite character, stuntman Cliff Booth. He went on to say that “In the movie, Cliff is a real enigma: you’re kind of like, what’s this guy’s deal?”

“And one of the things in the book is, there’s these isolated chapters that tell you, like, this whole chapter will be about Cliff’s past.” He went on to explain that “Every isolated chapter that’s just about Cliff’s past is like a weird little pulp novel unto itself starring Cliff.”

If you enjoyed Tarantino’s latest film outing, or maybe you’re just a lifelong fan, it seems that Once Upon A Time In Hollywood: A Novel is for you. The book will be available on June 29, 2021.
