The LeBron James led Space Jam: A New Legacy might not be thrilling critics, but there’s always the original. The 1996 classic made over $230 million at the box office and is famous for pitting Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes against a group of aliens in one of the weirdest yet most entertaining kids films ever released.

As well as marking the film debut of Jordan, the film is also remembered for the pair of Air Jordan 11s sported by his Airness. Coming in a colorway that was personally created for Jordan, the sneakers were designed by legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield after he noticed Jordan’s foot would roll when playing. Hatfield created patent leather uppers that allowed Jordan to wear the kicks with a suit.

While this version of the shoe was never released for sale, Jordan did wear this style of Jordan 11 during the 1995-1996 NBA Playoffs and Finals. The Space Jam colorway was eventually released in 2016 when Nike dropped the Retro Air Jordan 11 Space Jam. The shoe was such a hit that Nike’s Brand President Trevor Edwards announced that “The Space Jam 11 was the largest and most successful shoe launch in the history of Nike.”

Now sneakerheads and Space Jam fans can own an original pair of these Air Jordan 11s. Sotheby’s are auctioning an autographed pair worn by Jordan during filming. One of the rarest Jordan’s to ever hit auction, these all-black shoes feature a white sole, purple Jumpman logo, and Jordan’s signature in silver. The shoes are size 13 and come in a customer wood and velvet box.

The Michael Jordan Signed Player Sample Deadstock Air Jordan 11 Space Jam kicks have 12 bids so far, with the highest at $100,000. With six days remaining, there’s no doubting these shoes are going to go for a small fortune.
