Michael Bastian x Uniqlo Clothing: SS15 Collection
Michael Bastian x Uniqlo Spring/Summer 2015
Third time’s a charm for American designer Michael Bastian, who has teamed up with Japanese high street retailer Uniqlo once again on a collaborative line of men’s basics.
This time around, New York-based Bastian has branched out from the usual polo shirt-only offering into vests and T-shirts, making it his biggest collection for the high street brand to date.
Inspired by things that take to the sky – from clouds to mythical flying dragons – the ‘Up in the Air’ range combines quirky motifs, summery shades and eye-catching prints, all playing to Bastian’s signature preppy aesthetic.
Fans of the first two collections will be pleased to see that the striped polo shirts have returned, along with the slim-fit silhouettes that defined previous lines. T-shirts and vests follow suit, coming in the same sleek form as their sartorial predecessors, with the added detail of pockets on the chest.
While Bastian closed the door on his ongoing collaboration with Gant after nine seasons last year, the designer’s continued partnership with Uniqlo ensures that his distinctive brand of laid-back cool remains available and accessible to the masses.
The Michael Bastian x Uniqlo spring/summer 2015 collection is available now in stores and online, with prices starting at £14.90.
