Mark Hunt’s 12 Tattoos & Their Meanings
Mark Richard Hunt is a mixed martial artist in New Zealand and a former kickboxer of Samoan descent. Hunt is the competitor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (U F C) and also won the 2001 K-1 World Grand Prix. He is famous by the name of “King of Walk-Offs” because of his special technique of walking away and stopping attacks before the referee officially ends the match. Tattoo: Mark got a huge Samurai Skull tattoo inked across his chest. This huge masterpiece cost him three days for getting it completely done.
Meaning: Mark claims to have a great affinity for Japan and thus the Japanese Culture. He believes that he has Samurai Spirit and this tattoo is his dedication to his Samurai Spirit which is called “Fallen Samurai”. The ink represents his strength and courage which the Samurai possess as their recognizable traits. The tattoo was done by Chris Mata’afa of Monarch Tat Supplies and Studio in Sydney, Australia.
2. Words on fingers
Tattoo: On the ring finger of his left hand, Mark has a tattoo that contains the letters “gH “, which are the cover-up to his previous ink which contained the letter “gp”.
3. Neck Tattoo
Tattoo: Towards the left side of his neck, lies a tattoo of some symbols which seem to be two opposite C’s.
Meaning: The symbols are the Hebrew languages’ symbols which are the way of representing something Beautiful. Mark claims to have received this as a way of showing respect for his son.
