Tione Jayden Merritt, known professionally as Lil Tjay is an American rapper, composer, and singer. He started his career in 2017 by releasing his songs on SoundCloud such as “Brothers” and “Leaked” which got him famous. He later signed with Columbia Records. Lil Tjay is best known for his song, “Pop Out” featuring Polo G which peaked at no 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100. He released his debut studio album in 2019 titled, “True 2 myself” which was certified gold by RIAA. Tjay has only one tattoo on his body. Let us take a look at what it was and the meaning it holds.
1. ‘Rose and Name’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The inner side of his right forearm contains a tattoo of a rose flower, just below his elbow. The name, “Maive” is also tattooed horizontally below the tattoo of the rose.
Meaning: This is a tattoo for a family member, Tjay revealed. Very little is known about his family except that the singer has 2 siblings. This tattoo is not for a lover or a girlfriend as Tjay also revealed that he had felt love or liking but never committed and had never been in a relationship. According to the sources, this tattoo is the name of his grandmother.
