The most influential athlete of the CAAWS, Jennifer ‘Jen’ Kish, is Canadian Union Rugby player, who captained the ‘Seven squads’ from 2012-2016. She is a retired Olympic Bronze Medalist who returned to the fitness industry as a fitness coach to help people to achieve their fitness goals. She even has her own company called JK Elite, providing fitness training programs to people from all over the world. She is well known for her aerial skills, defense, and body inks. ‘Pretty face and criminal body’; this is what she calls to herself. 1. ‘Rugby Canada Logo’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Rugby Canada Logo’ Tattoo on her right calf.
Meaning: Jen got a ‘Rugby Canada Logo’ tattoo with a wording ‘Till I Collapse’ inked on her right calf at the age of 16 as she wanted to play for Canada. This is the first tattoo which Jen got inked on her body. In an interview, she said,
“In 2005 at age 16, just 6 years later, my dream became a reality. I was so excited that I decided to go and get my first ever tattoo, which was the Rugby Canada Logo. Due to my age, the tattoo parlor needed a parent consent form signed before they would even touch me with a needle. My dad was out of town at the time so I gave him a call, bagged him to wire me some money and then signed his name on his behalf. When I look by on that day, It baffles me how easy it is for underage kids to get inks nowadays. Anyway, at the time my dad didn’t care too much for tattoos, but when he got back into town, I showed him what I had done and shockingly he wasn’t mad.”
She further said,
“I wanted to represent my country in the sport I love playing. It was the logo that sat right on the top of my heart (on my jersey) when I played, so to me, it was fitting. I wanted the tattoo to be big and I didn’t want to hide it. The calf seemed like the best possible spot for it.”
