When we think of dressing for holiday parties–even more laid-back ones–jeans aren’t typically the first article of clothing to come to mind. In fact, most of us tend to think that jeans are best reserved for more casual events. However, I’m here to challenge that notion, as I believe that jeans can be made appropriate for many more occasions than we give them credit for! (Rocking jeans is one of my favorite holiday style tips.)

That’s why I decided to put together three festively chic outfits for holiday parties–all of which are styled around jeans.

How to Dress Up for a Party with Jeans: Outfit #1

For this look, I wanted to create a glam outfit with jeans that you can wear to your chicest holiday parties! I used pieces that you don’t have to think too much about putting together, since they all share a simple-yet-statement-making black and gold color scheme.

To copy it, put on a cute going-out top with an interesting “crumpled” fabric detail. Next, add a pair of on-trend high-waisted straight-leg jeans to balance out the top’s more fitted and slightly cropped silhouette.

For shoes, go for a super-chic and fun pair of stiletto sandals that can definitely be worn again with different pieces throughout the holiday season (and beyond).

As far as jewelry and accessories go, I think that this type of outfit looks best with one to two statement pieces. So, go all out with a pair of dangly chandelier earrings and an eye-catching gold beaded evening bag with a fringe to give it plenty of movement.
