Feit x Matthew Miller Trainers
Feit x Matthew Miller AW14 Collaboration
British designer Matthew Miller has partnered with footwear brand Feit to produce a shoe collection with a difference. The two names have turned their attention to an existing design with the intention of creating a range with a strong focus on minimalism and sustainability.
Footwear and accessories brand Feit already places a strong emphasis on the stripped-back design of its products. Founding brothers Tull and Josh Price maintain that consideration for the planet is a key part of the business. The brand’s shoes are produced without the use of chrome or other such harmful materials, resulting in a low impact environmentally.
Minimal design is an approach reflected in Matthew Miller’s own collections. For the Stoke-on-Trent native, pairing with the handmade brand is a seamless move.
Miller, known for his structured tailoring, has previously worked alongside Umbro and Brioni. The Royal College of Art graduate chose to rework Feit’s ‘Hand Sewn’ models in both high and low styles, adding his own twist.
The limited run shoes deliver a new edge to the traditional sneaker. The resulting product is rendered in a high quality, navy suede with a full leather outsole and Buffalo leather footbed. Quality craftsmanship is ensured as the shoes are built using a unique method by a single experienced technician.
The collection is available to pre-order now through Feit’s online store with just 60 tipped for a February release, priced at £261.15.
