E.Tautz To Open First Ever Store

British Brand To Receive London Outlet In 2014

E.Tautz will open its first retail store in the brand’s almost 150-year history, creative director Patrick Grant has announced.

London’s Mayfair will welcome the flagship space in September, joining the likes of Thom Sweeney and Jigsaw menswear.

The 2,000 sq ft outlet spread across two levels will stock the British label’s ready-to-wear lines, including SS15; recently previewed on the final morning of London Collections: Men.

Grant, who also owns E. Tautz said he is “delighted” to be opening in London’s West End. “[We] are particularly pleased to have chosen Duke Street as the location.”

“Mayfair is currently undergoing an exciting transformation and it’s great to be opening our first store here.”

The 42-year-old acquired the company when he purchased the parent firm, Norton & Sons, in 2005.

The retail move is another first under the guidance of Grant, who launched the luxury tailor’s debut off-the-peg range three years later.

James King, a leading commercial property and real estate adviser involved in the deal said: “The letting to E.Tautz continues to strengthen the tenant mix at Duke Street.”

“The quality of new retail brands highlights its position as an increasingly popular new retail destination,” he added.

Head of Retail Leasing for Grosvenor’s London estate, Helen Franks, hinted at further label’s signing up to space in the North Mayfair district:

“We are delighted to welcome E. Tautz to Duke Street and look forward to announcing further exciting arrivals over the coming months.”

The E.Tautz SS15 menswear collection, due in December, will follow an autumn store launch. The brand’s current collection is available at LN-CC, J.Crew, and The Shop at Bluebird, as well as online at etautz.com.
