Two of the longest serving brands in British menswear have joined forces to produce a new work shirt. Drake’s London and Manchester-based Private White V.C. say the 100 per cent cotton drill piece has been made with the lifestyle of the contemporary man in mind.

Private White joins a list of other menswear brands to partner with the Clifford Street store, including Comme des Garçons and Fred Perry.

Made in Manchester, the shirt comes in navy, beige and putty colour ways. Four external pockets secured by concealed studs are complemented by military grade copper Riri zips to fasten two internal pockets. The sleeves, finished with a shirt cuff opening, also hold a reinforced elbow patch.

The heavy-duty item is lined using Drake’s signature ‘buggy’ paisley lining.

Founded in 1977, Drake’s London has built a reputation as the largest independent manufacturer of handmade ties in England. The brand also crafts pocket squares, scarves and socks.

Internationally stocked Private White is inspired by its own heritage, aiming to provide wearable contemporary garments. The brand’s head designer, Nick Ashley, has previously worked for the likes of Kenzo and Tod’s.

All three work shirts in the Drake’s London x Private White V.C. collaboration are available online now at privatewhitevc.com, priced at £375 each.
