Cristina Scabbia is an Italian singer, songwriter, television personality, and active member of the Italian gothic metal band ‘Lacuna Coil’. She has got some unique tattoos on her body. Let’s scroll further to know more details regarding her tattoos along with their meanings.
1. Black Cat Tattoo
Tattoo: ‘Black Cat’ tattoo on her left forearm.
Meaning: Cristina got this tattoo inked by the tattoo artist, Diego Lanzone, in February 2018. On February 11, 2018, she uploaded the picture of this tattoo on her Instagram handle with the caption,
Here’s the final result, @diegolanzone did an outstanding job translating what I had in my mind… on my skin at the @milanotattooconvention, yesterday. It is not easy to tattoo a cat, let alone a BLACK cat, being a whole spot of… eh, black. I’ve always loved cats and you all know that VERY well by now (d’oh!). I wanted something that could represent independence, fierceness, elegance, sweetness too, though. Something that could be determined but gentle.
And dark and mysterious at the same time. When I saw this little guy was instant love and thought that not being able to have my own buddy in real life (I am always away and could never be able to leave a pet behind) this can be a way to have it with me all the time Black cats are often stigmatized as well, some stupid humans think they can bring bad luck… and this is another reason why I chose to stand up in defence of a beautiful group of mysterious felines that are more elegant than the classier of old movie’s Divas and sweeter than cotton candy. One thing: if you don’t like tattoes, or think tattoes are a “trend”, or they are “ruining” people’s skin, please don’t even comment ruining it for the tons of us who love them as a form of art and as a meaningful decoration of our bodies. Our choice does NOT impact yours and for the same reason I could say I dislike a clean skin. To each their own. Also (to answer some questions) this is not my first one (or last). I have 4 (one of them also had 4 people working on it… so 7? ) and did my first one in 92/93. Last but not least.
It’s always hard to pick up a tattoo artist and surely there are lots of good ones around to chose from. BUT if too many signs and coincidences are pointing at a specific one, that is also an amazing one too, go for it and the tattoo will have even more meaning for you. Thank you, Diego, for being a true Artist, for the patience and for being a great person all around (very important for me). Enjoy this pic, you’ll see this bud very often ”
