Cheap Monday Menswear: Spring 2014 Collection
Cheap Monday Release Spring 2014 Collection
Swedish fashion brand Cheap Monday has released its spring 2014 collection. The Hybris range, which made its first appearance at Stockholm Fashion Week, is said to take inspiration from bold 1990s street style. Three key looks are being rolled out as part of the offering: an exaggerated silhouette, a line focusing on fragmented reality and a ‘buffalo riot’ range. The approach experiments with mixing black, white and grey marl colours with prints in a bid to create a look centred on the idea of confidence, hubris and narcissism. Cheap Monday has grown quickly since its debut in 2004. The Scandinavian export has become synonymous with creating quality, high-attitude fashion at affordable prices. After partnering with fellow Swedish retailer H&M, Cheap Monday launched its first standalone store in Copenhagen during 2009, with a UK branch following in London during 2012. The company has stated that its new spring 2014 collection aims to embrace modern vanity with a more-is-more attitude. This is evident in the new line, which showcases a selection of egocentric prints, patchwork denim and bold, cartoonish graphics. Key looks are being featured online and can be bought in the company’s flagship London store as well as through other select retailers now. The range of clothing and accessories retails between £10 and £100.
