Billionaire Boys Club Clothing: SS14 Collection

Billionaire Boys Club SS14

Billionaire Boys Club, the brainchild of Pharrell Williams and A Bathing Ape founder Nigo, has released a video lookbook for its spring/summer 2014 collection. The one minute forty second clip, shot by visual artist Ash of Uzi, showcases the high end streetwear brand’s latest line, made up of geometric patterns and sun-faded colours. Remaining pieces indicate a merging of grunge and hip-hop looks for the new season. Cargo pants, graphic t-shirts, shirts and all-over print hoodies make an appearance. Models Niko da Ikon, Sean Lyles, 100s and Aleali May sport the SS14 range, which mirrors the landscape with faded denim. Designers at the firm have also introduced floral print button-downs and trousers to the mix, with some showing an African influence and others carrying solar-activated motifs. Elsewhere, knits and nautical stripes work to round out the season’s offerings. Despite brick-and-mortar locations in Hong Kong, Tokyo and New York City – the first of which opened nearly a decade ago – Billionaire Boys Club is still considered exclusive, available in just forty locations worldwide. The involvement of Pharrell Williams, who is also launching projects with Comme des Garçons, UNIQLO and G-Star RAW, can be traced back to 2005. At that point, the Happy singer already had experience in fashion, previously designing a jewellery line for luxury brand Louis Vuitton. The full SS14 range from Billionaire Boys Club is now available through the label’s official website. Snap backs are the lowest priced item, coming in at £45, while an anniversary varsity jacket tips the scale at £710.
