This is a pretty easy look to pull off because it works on everybody. Temperatures can be pretty sweltering in the desert sun, so shorts are a good go-to for the daytime. Keeping them light in color not only detracts heat but also makes it easier to match brightly-colored boho shirts with them. Having a button up short sleeve shirt allows you to keep it closed for sun protection or open a few buttons to feel the desert heat on your skin.
Keeping your look light and tonal in color is another great way to beat the heat. Camouflage yourself to your desert surroundings with white, cream, and khaki. Linen is a great fabric for staying and looking, cool. At the very least, a linen scarf wrapped loosely around your neck will help with sun protection.
2. Flowy Top and Distressed Jeans

Personally, I don’t wear shorts, no matter the temperature. And distressed jeans are perfect for that rock-n-roll casual vibe without looking like you’re trying too hard. Throw on a flowy button up shirt and aviator sunglasses and let the good times roll! Black or denim jeans won’t show as much dirt since you will be exposed to the elements of nature, but white is always a good option for a lighter, more casual vibe.
