Bentley For Men Absolute Eau De Parfum

Luxury Brand Launches New Scent

Luxury car manufacturer Bentley has unveiled its fifth fragrance in just over a year. Bentley For Men Absolute follows on from the similarly named original, Azure, Instense and Crystal editions release in 2013 and earlier in 2014. According to the British firm, the new fragrance, which will launch this week, is designed to “meet the wishes of smart, elegant, status-conscious men.” It uses top notes of ginger, pink peppercorns and frankincense along with a heart of papyrus, sandalwood and atlas cedar, on top of an ambergris, oud and moss base. Bosses brought in perfume maker Michel Almairac to work on the scent, despite trusting all previous four to Nathalie Lorson and Mylene Alran. Almairac is known for his work in the fragrance departments of Acqua di Parma, Gucci and Burberry. Speaking about Absolute, which comes in a glossy black and gold glass bottle, he said: “I wanted to express the strong, authentic side of the Bentley brand in this fragrance, while also bringing out its timelessness.” In 2013, Bentley stayed true to its exclusive tag by releasing a £3,000 crystal bottle version of its Crystal Edition in partnership with Lalique. A small price in comparison to its cars, which can sell for in excess of £225,000. The limited edition eau de parfum launches this Sunday, 1 June, exclusively at Harrods and retails at £110 for 100ml.
