To start off, thank you Brock for giving me this opportunity! I had been eyeing this brand for some time but was never sure about the quality.

The shoe: a size 7, Beckett Simonon Valencia Wholecuts

Often when I am purchasing shoes I look for a few things: style, comfort, craftsmanship, does it fit with my wardrobe, and silhouette. This last one may seem unique, but being a smaller gentleman I prefer my lines of my clothing to be very clean.

What this entails are higher waist pants, no belts, no break on my pants, a slim cut/tailored pant leg, and blazers that accompany that tailored look. 

You should know what my day looks like so that you get a grasp of what my shoes experience. I work retail, am a substitute teacher, and go to school in the evenings. So on any given day I am walking and standing on my feet for a large portion of the day.

A comfortable shoe is VITAL! Sure enough, these oxfords were just that. Naturally after a few days of wearing in they felt more and more comfortable, but I was happy with the level of comfort of the shoes.

I did vary back and forth with and without a small insole, but had no qualms with comfort. 

I have described my style as business, preppy, and a little Italian (sprezzatura). Often with my style, I try to also find pieces that are incredibly versatile and will stylistically last for the long haul. These oxfords fit those standards.

I wore these with khaki trousers, light blue shirt, green and blue striped tie, and navy window pane blazer. I didn’t stray to far off with pairing these oxfords with navy, dark gray, and khaki trousers.
