Will Smith's Porsche From 'Bad Boys' Heading to Auction

When it comes to late 90s action flicks, they don’t come any more explosive than Michael Bay’s Bad Boys. The 1995 buddy cop drama features Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as Miami narcotics detectives tasked with recovering $100 million of heroin.

Produced by action fiends Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer, Bay’s directorial debut is every teen boy’s fantasy, featuring outrageous gun battles, comedic dialogue, Smith and Lawrence’s witty by-play, and a fitting finale that involves a shoot-out in an old airplane hanger.

It’s also notable for Smith’s Detective Mike Lowrey’s prized possession – a 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo. The sports car, originally owned by Bay, is now going under the hammer next year at the 2022 Kissimmee Mecum auction.

The iconic Porsche 911 is in pristine condition and has been issued with a certificate of authenticity by Porsche so you know it’s the real deal. One of only 350 models ever produced for the American market, it’s also the final of its type to be rear-wheel drive.

Under the hood is a turbocharged 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine driving a five-speed manual transmission. The odometer only reads 34,396 miles, which is impressive considering the car is over 25 years old. It also underwent a restoration and service from Body Motion in 2006.

Finished in black with a black leather interior, this sexy beast also comes with a sunroof, whale tail spoiler, air conditioner, and radio/cassette player, with a French front number plate that reads 447 DB 75 and a rear plate that reads BAD BYS1, just so everyone knows the car’s history.

The car has also won numerous awards over the years, including taking out first place at the Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance in 2014, the French Lick Porsche Parade Restoration in 2015, the Jay Peak Concours d’Elegance in 2016, and the Amelia Island Werks Reunion in 2017. It also appeared on the red carpet for the premiere of Bad Boys for Life in January 2020.
