Amar’e Carsares Stoudemire is an American-Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. He was drafted to the NBA in 2002 by the Phoenix Suns and won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award with them in 2003. He has been named to the NBA All-Star team five times and has also played in 6 All-Star Games. He also won a Bronze medal for the US at the 2004 Olympics and was named the 2020 Israeli Basketball Premier League Finals MVP.

Tattoo: The left side of the player’s chest has a bible verse tattooed on it. The bible verse reads, “So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. Matthew 20:16”

Meaning: The tattoo on his chest comes from the bible verse, Matthew 20:16. The tattoo represents his faith. There is another line tattooed below the bible verse as well.

2. ‘Poverty and Prophecy’ Tattoos

Tattoo: The right pec of the coach has the word, “Prophecy” tattooed on it. The word, “Poverty” is also written on his right upper arm. There is a giant letter, “P” tattooed on his right shoulder that serves as the first letter to both words.

3. ‘Knowledge is Power’ Tattoo

Tattoo: There is a brick wall design tattooed on his right bicep with the words, “Knowledge is Power” tattooed in the middle of the wall. The quote on his right bicep is completed by the one on his left that reads, “Knowing is Knowledge”

Meaning: The two quotes together read, “Knowledge is Power. Knowing is Knowledge.” The tattoo of the quote on his arms represents his thought process and gives us an insight into his mindset.

4. ‘STAT’ Tattoo

Tattoo: The word, “STAT” is also tattooed on his right upper arm. There is also a pattern of flames that covers the rest of his upper arm.
