Russell Kane Fronts Luke 1977 Campaigns
British Comedian To Appear In Two Campaigns
British comedian and TV presenter Russell Kane has been tapped as the face of menswear brand Luke 1977’s AW14 and SS15 campaigns. The first of the shoots took place in London’s Camden and features key items from both collections. For AW14, Luke is presenting a more sophisticated and cleaner collection, focusing on indigo, dark plum and blue. In the campaign Kane can be seen wearing a range of pieces, from a grey cable knit jumper, leather bomber and scarf, right through to a shirt and jacket featuring Luke’s signature lion logo. “I’m buzzing to be involved with Luke and feeling smarter than Einstein’s notebook in their clobber,” said Kane. The company said that the 34-year-old has become a big fan of the brand, appearing at its recent golf day. Luke claims it takes a “practical interpretation on contemporary menswear”. The brand, founded by Luke Roper, draws strong influences from its native Birmingham, describing itself as where foundry worker meets fashionista. It currently sells clothing, outerwear, denim, accessories and footwear across several lines via its online store and UK stockists such as Fenwick, Foot Asylum and Woodhouse. Pieces worn by Russell Kane are available to buy now with prices from £30 for t-shirts, £70 for knitwear and £350 for leather outerwear.
