1. Choosing A Dry Shampoo

There are different ranges of dry shampoo available in the commercial market. Dry shampoo generally come in the form of powder or spray on. If you want to concentrate on the scalp, then powder is recommended and if you want the oil out from the roots of your hair, then go for a spray on.

2. Comb Your Hair:

Next, get your hair ready by taking off bands, clips or hair pins if you are wearing any. Then comb your hair so that it is totally tangle free.

3. Applying The Shampoo:

If you have opted for a powdered dry shampoo, then sprinkle the powder over the top of your head concentrating on the areas that tend to get oilier like your bangs. Distribute the shampoo evenly into your hair using your fingers.

In case you have chosen a spray on dry shampoo, then hold the bottle 6 inches away from your head and spray. Let the shampoo settle evenly over your head. Afterwards, it is recommended to brush your hair because then the dry shampoo gets distributed down the length of the hair shafts. Apply a little dry shampoo to the tips but focus mostly on the roots.

4.Avoid Messiness:

It is advisable to apply dry shampoo over the sink because it tends to get messy. So, if you are not keen on sweeping or vacuuming, avoid the messiness.

5. Give It Time To Settle In:

Give the dry shampoo at least 10 minutes to absorb the oil and grease from your hair. Wait for it to settle in. People with particularly oily hair may need to wait a little longer than the usual.
