Russia has had ten appearances in the World Cup and currently holds no titles. The team is currently placed 70th in FIFA’s official ranking. Despite never making it to the finals, Russia played in the 1966 semi-finals (they were the Soviet Union at the time) and lost to Germany (who was then West Germany). They are the host nation this year so they will have the chance to share their history and culture with the world (and they’re already off to a great start with a 5-0 win against Saudi Arabia). It’s a very big year for Russia!

Saudi Arabia has had four appearances in the World Cup and currently holds no titles. The team is currently placed 67th in FIFA’s official ranking. The farthest they’ve made it in the competition is the Round of 16 back in 1994. They last appeared in the World Cup in 2006 and are very excited to be back!

Senegal

Senegal has had one appearance in the World Cup and currently holds no titles. The team is currently placed 27th in FIFA’s official ranking. Senegal played in the 2002 World Cup and made it to the quarter finals! Though they haven’t played in many World Cups they did extremely well in the one they attended.
