Paul Smith Eyewear: SS14 Collection
Paul Smith Release SS14 ‘Spectacles’ Collection
British label Paul Smith is keen to show its versatility by unveiling a new glasses range. Images from the spring/summer 2014 ‘Spectacles’ collection were recently released, with the campaign taking inspiration from the classic mod style of the 1950s and 1960s.
The line of unisex designs features a number of round, aviator and keyhole shaped frames, crafted from a mixture of titanium and acetate.
Styles are available in a selection of colours, including burnt clay, tortoise and slate; interspersed with navy, rose and teal.
Paul Smith has been a firm fixture in British menswear for around forty years. The label is now represented internationally and has expanded past men’s and women’s clothing into accessories, fragrances and even rugs.
Images used for the launch, shot personally by Sir Paul Smith, are set against the brand’s signature pink backdrop.
Most of the materials used throughout collections are French, British or Italian, while items are produced mainly in England and Italy.
A reflection of the 67-year-old’s personal style, the sunglasses in the Spectacles collection feature a selection of quotes, including ‘Peace’ and ‘Good day sunshine’. These sit alongside the sun motif Smith recently used on his latest fragrance launch on the temple tip.
Prices for the sunglasses and optical range start from £165. The frames can now be found in stores around the country and on Paul Smith’s webstore.
