Traditionally taking its inspiration from 1950s and 1960s casual wear, Original Penguin has looked to another laid-back aesthetic for a brand new collection. Original Penguin Vintage Gym launches at the beginning of 2015, with the capsule taking its reference points from the collegiate and athletic style of the same era. Sweatshirts, baseball shirts, caps and varsity jackets have all been made up in a rich palette of burgundy, navy and grey, complete with soft gold detailing and typography. Other key pieces from the range include classic tapered sweatpants and Oxford shirts in brushed cottons, giving the collection an accessible, smart and preppy feel. Perfect for the spring season and ideal for bridging the gap between on- and off-duty dressing. The Vintage Gym collection will be available to purchase in Original Penguin stores and online from the beginning of January.
