Real-Life 'Halo' Warthog Churns Out 1,060 HP

Hoonigan has partnered with Microsoft to create a Halo fanboy’s wet dream: a fully drivable Warthog. While this impressive vehicle isn’t the first Warthog to be built, it is the first in the world that actually works as a fully functioning 4×4.

Ken Block’s Hoonigan Industries are responsible for this wonderful recreation of the digital version that was first seen at the premiere of the video game movie Fall Guy. While it is slightly smaller than the video game version, the Warthog looks very similar and contains the iconic curved windscreen, a four-wheel steering system, and an authentically replicated interior. One downer is the lack of a rear-mounted gun, but it’s understandable why it’s not there.

The design uses a custom rock crawler chassis with a Gearstar Supermatic80 transmission, 4×4 racing suspension, and a twin-turbo 7.2-liter V8 capable of a whopping 1,060 horsepower. The 43-inch tires also add a touch of sturdiness, making this a rugged off-roader any Halo fan would love to have in their garage.

This replica of the Warthog was built to help launch Halo Infinite, the latest title in the long-running franchise set to hit stores this December. Hoonigan will be releasing weekly videos for the next month detailing the build, with the first uploaded to Hoonigan’s YouTube channel last week. You can check it out below:
